THE IMPACT
Earlier this year, The Foundation received a heartfelt request from the parents of a 14-year-old girl diagnosed with melanoma. After undergoing treatment and surgery, she faced new challenges in pursuing her passion—hunting with her dad and grandpa, her favorite activity, just like it was for Jace.
Due to her surgery, she was left with scars on her shoulder, making it difficult to handle her usual rifle, especially one with significant recoil. In response, the Live Like Jace team partnered with On Target in Laurel to find a way to fulfill her wish.
The Live Like Jace Foundation was able to proudly deliver a specially suited rifle to her, allowing her to safely enjoy hunting once again. The joy and gratitude expressed by her family were truly touching—exactly the kind of impact Jace would have wanted his legacy to have.
We are honored to be a part of her journey and grateful for the opportunity to continue honoring Jace’s memory by helping others live their best lives.
THE IMPACT
On May 24, 2025, The Live Like Jace Foundation had another opportunity to make another dream come true. A deserving recipient was surprised with the bike of his dreams.
When the Jace Way Application was received these were some of the compelling words creating a perfect blend between Jace's life creed and Luis's passion.... "Luis's passion for biking has always been a powerful force in his life, driving not just his physical pursuits but shaping the way he interacts with the world. From the moment he got his first bike, it was clear that this would become more than just a hobby. It became a symbol of his unrelenting determination. His passion for cycling is infectious and it has enables him to connect with so many people in the community, offering inspiration and camaraderie. Even though cancer has tested his spirit, he remains the strongest and most resilient person. His ability to persevere, not just through the physical trails of his illness but through the emotional challenges as well, is nothing short of awe-inspiring. His strength comes not just from his body but from his heart and it is this blend of passion, kindness and resilience that makes him a true for in all our lives.
The Live Like Jace Foundation learned that Luis had been saving to buy the bike of his dreams and due to his illness, wasn't able to work as much and had to use his savings to cover school expenses. For Luis, this bike represents his passion and a powerful symbol of perseverance. We are incredibly honored to stand beside Luis and his family as they face the challenges of cancer, and we're deeply thankful for the chance to carry on Jace's legacy by bringing light and support to others during life's toughest moments.

THE IMPACT
In March 2026, the Live Like Jace Foundation had the privilege of gifting another Jace Way experience.
It was an honor to support Evawn and her incredible family. Her strength and perspective embody what the Live Like Jace Foundation stands for.
Knowing this was a perfect match with our mission - to nurture and strengthen family bonds by providing outdoor experiences for individuals and families facing tough times or impacted by a cancer diagnosis - we got to work creating a meaningful escape. A chance to step away from one of life’s hardest battles and focus on what matters most: being together, embracing adventure, and making lasting memories.
Their experience included a peaceful stay at Howler’s Inn B&B and Wolf Sanctuary to a day of exploration at the Museum of the Rockies.
Stories like Evawn’s are a powerful reminder of why the Live Like Jace Foundation matters and what it means to live like Jace.
In Evawn’s words -
“Dear Live Like Jace Foundation,
I am writing to express our family’s deepest gratitude for the incredible experiences you made possible for us. Our trip to Howler’s Inn bed-and-breakfast to spend time with the wolves was truly unforgettable. Being so close to such beautiful, powerful animals brought us a sense of peace and wonder that is hard to put into words.
For our family, being able to get out amongst nature has healing qualities in itself. The trip you provided for us did just that.
We are also so thankful for the opportunity to visit the Museum of the Rockies. It gave us a chance to explore, learn, and simply enjoy being together as a family in a meaningful way.
As we continue to face the challenges of battling cancer, moments like these mean more than we can fully express. You gave us the gift of stepping away from the weight of it all, even if just for a little while, and replacing it with joy, connection, and lasting memories.

The Live Like Jace Foundation was honored to sponsor the LSEP (Laurel Shooting Education Program) as the Yellowstone Young Guns headed to the 2026 National Competition in Arkansas.
On July 6, 2026, we had the privilege of meeting with the seven team members, their coaches, and traveling family members before they began their journey to Arkansas. We shared the story and mission of the Live Like Jace Foundation and presented each of them with t-shirts, hoodies and LLJace decals. Each member of the shooting team also received Jace Way Program recipient plaques – Living Life by Bonnie L. Mohr.
As they competed on the national stage, we also asked them to:

THE IMPACT
On August 5, 2026, the Live Like Jace Foundation had the privilege of supporting Dawson and his family through the Jace Way Program.
The foundation provided Dawson and his parents with a family trip to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, along with many of Dawson's favorite snacks, activities, and comfort items to help make the road trip even more enjoyable.
Dawson’s bright smile, kind heart, and unwavering perseverance throughout his medical journey are truly inspiring. Despite his young age, he has a remarkable ability to connect with the people around him and leave a lasting impact. That ability to connect with others is something Jace VavRosky was known for as well. It is one of the many reasons supporting Dawson feels especially meaningful to the Live Like Jace Foundation.
This trip to the Black Hills will be different from the many journeys Dawson and his family have taken for medical appointments. Instead, it will be filled with opportunities to explore the outdoors, laugh together, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
The Live Like Jace Foundation is honored to provide Dawson and his family with the opportunity to "Live Like Jace"- embracing life, cherishing time together, and making every moment count.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Billings Community Foundation for generously providing the use of their conference room for Dawson's gifting.
THE IMPACT
In June 2026, the Live Like Jace Foundation met 8-year-old Matty with his mom and grandmother.
Matty is kind, funny, and full of smiles and laughter. He is surrounded with a family full of love and gratitude. Even amid his cancer treatment, Matty takes time each day to identify five things he is grateful for – a reflection of his positive spirit and outlook.
During his interview for The Jace Way Program, Matty shared that he wanted to have a “summer of baseball.” Because of his treatment, he couldn’t play one of his favorite sports or participate in many of the outdoor activities he loves, including camping, swimming, and fishing. Watching the Billings Mustangs was something he could enjoy.
The foundation knew immediately that we wanted to help make that wish happen.
As Matty and his family were driving to a Billings Mustangs baseball game that very day, the foundation was on the phone with the Billings Mustangs Ticket Office arranging season tickets for Matty, his mom, and his grandmother.
The tickets were waiting for them when they arrived at the game!
Then in September, the foundation hosted “Matty Day” at a Mustangs game. Matty was able to invite his friends and family to join him for a fun-filled night. They enjoyed food and beverages in the party tent and Matty had the opportunity to spend time with the players on the field before the game. He played hacky sack with the pitchers during their warm-up and stood alongside the team for the National Anthem.
The Live Like Jace Foundation is incredibly grateful to have met Matty and his family and to have been part of his “summer of baseball.” Jace was an avid baseball player and helping Matty experience the joy of the game is a meaningful way to carry on Jace’s legacy.

We cannot say enough about the Live Like Jace Foundation. Through the pain of losing their son Jace VavRosky to cancer, they created the foundation to honor him. He was a man who loved his family, faith, sports and the outdoors! It is their work to keep his memory alive through helping families going through the unimaginable. They get to know the family.
